This Clinical Coffee Break provides learners with an overview of diagnosing, treating and monitoring patients with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) from the allergist/immunologist's perspective.
Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Summarize the importance of a timely diagnosis for EoE.
- Classify the clinical manifestations of EoE in the early inflammatory and later fibrostenotic phenotypes.
- Differentiate EoE from other non-EoE disorders that cause or contribute to esophageal dysphagia eosinophilia.
